Weobley Theatre Goers was started by Kate Best in July 2005, since when we went to eight or nine productions a year. These were usually trips to Malvern, but also to Birmingham, Cardiff or Cheltenham.
After 13 years of professionalism and fun for us on the receiving end, Kate has had to give up organising the group to commit her time to other activities. But the show must go on and it will, as Justin Lewis has agreed to take over the organisation of the group. This is something he already does for other villages, so there will be no learning curve! He has already drawn up a list of productions to go to and he even has one of our favourites in the pipeline, Les Trockaderos. Those of you who went to see this in Birmingham will remember with great glee the hugely talented men dancing the Sugar Plum Fairies! You can dip in and out of the trips as you like; the cost of the coach is included in the price and, for trips other than Malvern, there is occasionally time to look around the city centres or shop before going to the theatre.
On Thursday 1st November there will be trip to the Everyman in Cheltenham to see "The Comedy About a Bank Robbery". Don’t miss this smash-and-grab hit comedy that’s guaranteed to deliver swag loads of laughter. Book now, it’d be criminal to miss it! Depart Weobley at 9.30am for performance at 2pm. Tickets £51. Please pay by 30th July.
If you would like to get on Justin’s email list to hear of trips before they get into the magazines, please email him on email@example.com or ring him on 01568 613836. Kate is looking to joining you, to seeing shows and sitting back as a customer!
